It's a Pleasure to Be You

Filo by Melissa was developed as part of an interdisciplinary academic project combining packaging design, 3D design, and branding. The challenge was to create a self-care line for an existing brand, exploring innovative ways to align the new concept with the parent company’s identity.​

​Melissa, known for its bold and creative approach to footwear, provided the perfect foundation for a self-care line that broke away from traditional expectations. Instead of focusing on conventional wellness products, the idea behind Filo was to embrace sexual care—a subject often overlooked in discussions of self-care.

Filo offers a collection of products, including vibrators, lubricants, and other items designed to encourage self-discovery, confidence, and pleasure. The name Filo, meaning "sex" in Greek, creates a direct and symbolic connection to the brand's purpose, just as "Melissa," meaning "bee" in Greek, reflects the parent company’s playful energy.

As part of Melissa, Filo adopts an eco-conscious approach, striving to minimize its environmental impact through thoughtful production practices. With PVC as a primary material, Filo emphasizes flexibility, moldability, and recyclability. The brand is also aligned with global sustainability goals (ODS), ensuring its actions contribute to social inclusion, environmental protection, and cultural appreciation.

Beyond crafting Filo’s brand identity and values, we developed not only the concept but also the design of its innovative product line. Each item in Filo’s collection was meticulously conceptualized to align with the brand’s core principles of inclusivity, sustainability, and sensory delight. From naming to 3D modeling, the collection showcases creativity, functionality, and a touch of playfulness.

Frynos

Inspired by its playful resemblance to a frog, Frynos (Greek for "frog") is Filo’s flagship vibrator. With its distinctive wavy shape designed to enhance pleasure, Frynos offers a sustainable, rechargeable, and practical solution for sexual care. The dual “ear-like” features and ergonomic design make it an inviting and versatile companion.

Medusa

Named after the mythical creature of Greek lore, Medusa is an automoldable gel designed to adapt to the unique needs of its user. Made from a flexible and customizable material, Medusa is gender-inclusive and allows individuals to shape the product to suit their preferences, making it a symbol of personalization and inclusivity in sexual wellness.

Géli

Filo's unique lubricant, crafted as individual spheres that melt upon contact, delivering the perfect dose of smoothness and pleasure. Practical, hygienic, and sustainable, it enhances sensations and reduces friction, whether used alone or with the vibrator, redefining intimate experiences with creativity and elegance.
